Wellbeing walks celebrated with the trundl team in 2023
2023 has undoubtedly thrown up challenges for many of us so we wanted to celebrate you taking the time to fit in your wellbeing walks. We hope this blog finds you ending the year with some well-earned time to recharge the batteries.
Your dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering support
Like all new ventures, we at trundl have had our share of roller-coaster moments this year, with nerve-jangling dips and some amazing highs.
Being honest, we always knew getting a new concept like trundl off the ground was going to be hard. Building a walking for charity app that’s not been done before hasn’t proved to be easy. But we hope each and every one of you feels that you’re an important part of the incredible mission we’re on. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering support have been pivotal in keeping us going to bring you the most rewarding experience we can.
Celebrating your wellbeing walks for charity
By donating over £15,000 to our charities and celebrating a saving of over 1000kg of CO2 just by walking instead of taking the car, you have helped do great things. You have not only helped raise charity funds, you have helped us to plant two orchards in schools with The Tree Council in 2023. We’ve shown the power of one person taking a walk, multiplied by hundreds.
Imagine what we can do together when this is multiplied by the thousands of people walking in the UK. This is what gets the team at trundl raring to go each morning. A vision where every member can take steps to improve their own health and wellbeing just by walking and help change the lives of many people and protect the habitats and natural spaces that we love at the same time. All for the monthly ‘price of a posh coffee’, as one of our members recently described it.
Walking for wellbeing ideas
We love to help you find the inspiration to get those walking boots on too and explore a little further. You can find various wellbeing walks with inspiration from The Ramblers, short walks or check out National Parks UK walking ideas from just two of our charity partners. If you need something with good accessibility, search for Miles Without Stiles. You will find all the National Parks that take part in making the outdoors more accessible for all.
Raising the stakes together.
So, here’s to 2024 – together, we’ll continue writing this story of impact and change just by trundling. Thank you so much for being with us on this walk on the wild – and sometimes woolly – side. You really are top trundlrs.
Wishing you and yours a very jolly 2024 with lots of walking included.
Hil, Tess and the whole trundl team.
