By introducing Gina Bradbury-Fox and trundl app founder Hilary Mines, Susie Cery undoubtedly knew she was igniting a like-minded partnership. With impressive energy and deep experience to draw from, the two entrepreneurs were shaping ideas together from the first meeting.
Female entrepreneurs get things done
At 65 and 57 respectively, Gina and Hil are proof that age doesn’t have to mean limitations. Both are passionate about making the outdoors accessible to everyone and share the belief that building strong communities of like-minded people is the way to get things done. And it goes without saying that they both put purpose at the heart of everything they do.
Balancing personal and family business priorities when your sister is on the TV
Gina is the self-proclaimed ‘bossy older sister’ to Julia Bradbury, presenter, outdoor advocate, cancer survivor and co-founder of The Outdoor Guide.
While fully immersed in supporting her sister’s work, Gina is without question a powerhouse in her own right. As the brains behind The Outdoor Guide Foundation, it is Gina’s passion and vision that makes us excited about a trundl partnership.

Gemma Hunt, ambassador for The Outdoor Guide Foundation, shares the joy of being outdoors
Under Gina’s leadership The Outdoor Guide Foundation was launched in 2021, prompted by shocking studies revealing that nearly 3/4s of UK children spend less time outdoors than inmates in UK prisons. They are on a mission to provide “Waterproofs and Wellies” to UK state primary schools so all children can enjoy outdoor play and learning, whatever the weather. To date, over 8,200 kits have been delivered, ensuring that more children are feeling the benefits of being active outdoors.
As trundl is also a small, female-run business, we recognise and admire what Gina and her tight-knit team have achieved. We’re enjoying partnering together on current and future initiatives and feel energised by the mutual passion to make a difference.
Uniting the community for a great cause
trundl and The Outdoor Guide Foundation are in partnership to fund a set of 10 x waterproof and welly kits for a UK state primary school. Until 9th November, the community is walking with the trundl app to reach a collective Km target that will trigger the donation.
How to join in
Download the trundl app with a 21 day free trial HERE. Pay £3.99 per month thereafter and all you have to do is press GO on the trundl app. The app will automatically log your walks or runs on the “trundl-ometer” and add them to the collective distance goal. When the goal is reached the donation is paid. No need to fundraise. Just pop your shoes on, get some fresh air and do yourself proud with every walk or run.
Thank you.
About The Outdoor Guide Foundation
The Outdoor Guide Foundation is the charitable arm of The Outdoor Guide, a free walking resource. Started by TV Presenter and walking advocate Julia Bradbury and her sister Gina, their goal is to make the outdoors more accessible to all.
They take pride in providing expert advice to beginners, so more people feel empowered to get out into nature. The Outdoor Guide Foundation is a new frontier of this mission.
Shocked that almost 1/3 of UK kids live in poverty with little money for outdoor clothing, Gina launched the Foundation. She’s driven by the desire to foster a hands-on love of nature at an early age, when it really counts.
Using outdoor company contacts built over years, Gina can deliver 1 set of 10 x waterproof kits for just £350.
And this is where the trundl partnership comes in. When our community walks and reaches the distance total, we fund a full waterproof set with The Outdoor Guide Foundation.
