People walk further and more often with the trundl app to support UK charities and the environment

It’s official. Without question, our members tend to walk further and more often with the trundl app to support UK charities and the planet. How do we know this?  Looking at average activity levels in 2024 compared to 2023, we can see that everything is on the up.

Average time spent outdoors? Up 29%.  How about average distance walked with trundl? Up 20%.  And average number of monthly walks? Up 15%

Graphs show how trundl members are walking more and more often in order to support charities with the trundl app

The trundl app motivates members to support their health and charities through everyday walks

Quoting numbers is undoubtedly dull, so we prefer to see it in terms of extra time outdoors getting fresh air.  For instance, we like to imagine all the places that our members walk in.  This said, we don’t have to guess too much. Thanks to their feedback, we know that members walk everywhere to help create charity donations.

Hence you’ll see the trundl app active in both city parks and National Parks. Similarly, trundlrs might be going up the road to the shops or up a large hill in North Wales.  They may, on the one hand, help reach donation target by taking an extra turn around the block with the dog. Alternatively they might persuade a friend to walk round another muddy field for a longer natter.

The trundl app helps you track CO2 savings too

And what’s more, our trundlrs haven’t stopped there.  Since we introduced the CO2 Saver feature on the trundl app, members have saved over 8,500kg of CO2.

How do they do this? First, it’s as simple as deciding to walk rather than drive for a short trip.  Next, in the trundl app settings they choose the size of car closest to theirs.  Then, they simply go trundling, toggling across the ‘CO2 Saver’ button on the trundl screen.

After this, personal CO2 savings are collected in impact pages on the app and we collate them too.  Every time we hit 2,000kg of CO2 savings, we fund the planting of a school orchard with The Tree Council. We are now also funding the recycling of old fishing nets with Sussex Wildlife Trust.

The picture features two stories from trundl members talking about how much they enjoy using the trundl app to keep healthy and raising funds for UK charity

All part of trundl’s mission to help members make difference to their own health and the environment too.

Big thanks to all our lovely members for scheduling walks with the trundl charity app. It’s the kind of habit you’ll never find yourself trying to kick.
