Outland Tracks supports The Country Trust charity by walking with the trundl app
Not only have Outland Tracks become a member of the trundl app walking for charity community. They have also stepped up to sponsor a fundraising walk for The Country Trust charity.
While they’re a growing company in a fairly new sector, Outland Tracks has roots into 100 years of farming. For this reason, they fully support helping urban children discover links between food, their health and the planet’s future.
‘It’s most important that children grow up understanding our natural world, our food sources and how they themselves fit in’. Percy Brock, Director of Outland Tracks shared recently.
‘We hugely admire the work of The Country Trust’, he added. ‘By helping children to be curious about farming and food, get messy and have fun, they’re building priceless knowledge. We’re really happy to walk with the trundl app and see our impact on charities like The Country Trust’ grow’.
Tracks are good for soil health
Without doubt, children on a Farm Discovery trip would be thrilled to see Outland Tracks in action. But while tracks may seem to turn tractors into Transformers, they’d soon learn about their positive effect upon soil health. Outland aim to educate about how tracks can introduce a more efficient and sustainable farming approach, while promoting stronger and healthier crops. Improved traction, better floatation and less compaction, are just some of the benefits outlined here
We have to say, it’s amazing what we learn when a company joins trundl and starts to walk for charity!
The Country Trust Charity trundl
As the leading education charity which connects children to the land, The Country Trust reaches 10,000s children each year. On farm visits, children learn how and where their food is produced. They learn how farmers work through the seasons planting and growing crops and looking after animals to produce food. Moreover, they take these learnings and positive memories back with them to the classroom.
We’ll be walking with the trundl app from August 28th – September 13th to raise funds for this hardworking charity. And as shown above, sponsorship and support from company members like Outland Tracks helps makes a big difference to the impact we can all make.
