A very sad farewell from us all at trundl

By May 10, 2026news & updates

They say that all good things must come to an end and we’re so sad to share that trundl hung up its boots for the final time on Sunday 29th March, 2026.

It’s a sign of the economic times we’re in that external business decisions continued to be delayed or shelved and we saw a slow down in the growth of individual membership too.

With this coming on top of significantly increased costs, we could not be certain of trundl’s future security, so we have decided that it is better to finish with one last trundl on our terms. We hope you will stay with us and join in until the end of March.

We had a dream of a business that, at a personal level, would be the ‘friend in your pocket’ during your outdoor walks and give you a glow at the end of a trundl from knowing you had done good things for personal health, UK causes and the environment. We have been overwhelmed by the sadness from our existing members and realise what an impact we were beginning to have.

The trundl team is enormously proud of all that you, our trundl community have achieved. Your membership made the impact below possible:

The 342,000 kms that have been recorded through the app, representing healthy walks or runs across the UK and beyond.
The 17,000 KG of CO2 that has been saved by people walking rather than driving, which was celebrated at specific milestones through the planting of 6 school orchards and the recycling of 2 lorryloads of discarded fishing nets.
And of course, the £31,500 + that has been donated to our UK charity partners and guest causes.

It was lovely while it lasted. A big thank you goes to you all – members, the companies, the brand and service partners and the charities who have supported us and become friends along the way.

Meanwhile, please remember the trundl spirit and for your own health and wellbeing, keep on walking whenever and wherever you can xx
